Gilbert is a seasoned professional with over 11 years of experience in business and technology, showcasing leadership in ICT operations, strategic development, governance framework design, policy creation, and successful project management across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda. As the Head of ICT at Car and General PLC, he oversees operations in East Africa, where he has spearheaded digital transformation strategies, enhancing customer experience, improving efficiency, and elevating overall business operations. Prior roles include ICT Manager at AS Energy East Africa and work at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Risk and Quality Assurance. Gilbert excels in building trust-based relationships, crucial for holistic leadership and impactful results. He is a member of the IDC East Africa Advisory Council for 2023, holding a Masters in Information Technology Management and a Bachelor's in Computer Science. Gilbert's expertise spans ICT strategy development, governance, project management, ERP system implementation, business intelligence, data analysis, infrastructure design, business process re-engineering, and change management. My mission is to transform struggling business delivery processes, increase ROI, reduce TCO, and enhance customer satisfaction through innovative and cost-effective IT solutions that align with the company's vision and values.
